Discover a new kind of comfort with Bioplast tongue rings. Most tongue rings are made of metal but Bioplast gives you a completely different kind of comfort and flexibility. It is a type of biological plastic that is flexible, soft and ideal for tongue piercings. When I buy tongue jewellery, the most important thing is comfort. The tongue is so sensitive that if your jewellery is in the least bit irritating it soon becomes a major problem. Another priority is damage to my teeth and gums – you only get one set, so it is important to choose jewellery that will be kind to your mouth. Bioplast tongue rings eliminate both these problems – they are really comfortable and they also greatly reduce the chance of chipping a tooth, wearing away tooth enamel or wearing on gums.
Benefits of Bioplast Tongue Rings
There are many benefits to wearing a Bioplast tongue ring, which I have listed below. The apart from the reduced risk of oral damage, the thing that sold me on Bioplast tongue jewellery was how light and soft it felt. I wear the silver Bioplast bar with an attached ball – as shown below. On the top I have a 3mm titanium threaded ball. In comparison to my last metal barbell, this set up feels much softer and gentler on my mouth. Instead of feeling like there is a big piece of metal in my mouth, I can barely feel it.
- Reduces risk of tooth and gum damage
- You will not chip a tooth if you bite down on the bar
- Non-stick, so less plaque build up

- More acceptable to many schools and workplaces than metal jewellery

Different Bioplast Tongue Rings
We have three basic types of Bioplast tongue rings, which you can customise to create a wide range of different styles. The first style has an attached ball and also comes in white, clear, black, red, purple and flesh tone. The other two styles are available in black, clear and white. You can use either a threaded accessory or a push-on Bioplast ball on the top of your tongue ring. This means you don’t have to stick with a plain look and you can make your tongue jewellery as simple or eye-catching as you like.
