PMMA Large Gauge Circular Barbells
PMMA is a lightweight acrylic that is ideal for large gauge circular barbells. It is durable, lightweight and feels very comfortable to wear. Another key feature is the polished smooth surface. This means that the jewellery slides cleanly through newly stretched piercings and is able to move freely through the stretching. PMMA is also available in a great choice of colours, so you can mix and match to create your look.

Steel Ball Blue UV Circular Barbell
Metal Large Gauge Circular Barbells
Large gauge metal jewellery can be very heavy, something that can be a positive or a negative depending on your gauge. These metal circular barbells weigh down your stretchings slightly, so they will cause extra stretching in all but very well established stretched piercings. They are beautifully machined in high quality titanium and surgical steel, so you get maximum comfort at all times.

There are many different ear cartilage rings that you can wear in your piercings, from classic steel BCRs to funky colours and jewelled rings that really stand out. Ear cartilage piercings need well-fitted jewellery so I recommend that you measure your piercing before buying a new ear cartilage ring. Once you know the correct size the fun part is choosing some cool new jewellery for your cartilage piercing.
Ear Cartilage Ball Closure Rings
Ball closure rings are one of the most secure type of ear cartilage ring because they are difficult to open and cannot simply fall out of your piercing. There is a huge choice of BCRs available in many different colours and materials, so it is easy to find one that suits your needs. Plain BCRs are the most popular ear cartilage rings but you can also find funky designs like the star ring below, which has a sparkly charm. Cartilage rings like the star one are best suited to helix piercings, where the charm can dangle freely and will not irritate your ear.
If you have stretched a piercing up to 0ga, an 0ga circular barbell is a great choice. These large gauge circular barbells come in a wide choice of materials, colours and styles that make it easy to keep your piercings feeling and looking great.
0ga is a medium gauge size so wearing a circular barbell is still an option – when you get up to bigger gauges it might be impractical to wear this kind of jewellery. Circular barbells are quite a chunky piece of jewellery so it important to think about the weight of your 0ga circular barbell. If it is too heavy it could stretch the piercing over time, which you may or may not want. Personally I like to maintain a gauge once I have stretched up to it but some people like to stretch gradually this way.
Metal 10ga Circular Barbells
If you want a metal 0ga circular barbell you have a choice of titanium, surgical steel and blackline. These are the most popular metals for piercing jewellery and they are highly biocompatible. Titanium and blackline have a higher biocompatibility so if you suffer from metal allergies or irritation, I recommend opting for a titanium 0ga circular barbell.
Depending on their specific design, metal 0ga circular barbells can be quite heavy and stretch your piercing as mentioned above. For most people this stretching will be very slight but if the edges of your 0ga piercing are a little thin or there is not much flesh around the piercing, this could be an issue for you. If this is the case I recommend wearing a PMMA 0ga circular barbell instead.
Labret piercings are one of the most popular type of piercing and it is easy to see why – they suit everyone, look fab and give you two jewellery options: labret studs or labret rings.
Whether or not you can wear a labret ring depends on one thing – the position of your piercing. If your piercing is close to your lip you will probably be able to wear labret rings but if your piercing is too far down a labret ring would be uncomfortable. If you are not sure about whether you can wear labret rings or not I suggest asking your piercer, but as a rule if your labret piercing is near your lipline you will be able to wear labret rings. There is a huge range of labret rings available from plain steel rings to funky colours that will really stand out.
BCR Labret Rings
The most popular type of labret ring is a BCR or ball closure ring. BCRs make excellent labret rings because they close completely and come in a choice of sizes to suit your lip. The ball in your BCR labret ring should sit on the outside of your lip. If you want a more streamlined look then check out smooth segment rings like the one below. These are the same as BCRs but instead of a ball they close with a smooth section of ring. Whichever type of BCR labret ring you choose they are a real classic look.
