Nose piercings, like many cartilage piercings, can be notoriously long to heal. The type of tissue found on nostrils does not get the good blood supply that softer tissues do, such as the earlobe piercing.

Piercings heal from the surface and towards the centre of the piercing, growing a tunnel of new skin inside the hole to form what is called the fistula. The surfaces can look healed, whereas the inside may not be. It is important not to rush to change your nostril jewellery for the first 2-3 months for this reason.

Try to ensure a prolonged healing and aftercare routine with nostril piercings or other difficult healers (such as tragus and surface piercings) as this will help to prevent any accidental irritation and reaction of the piercing.

Nostril Screws

Nostril screws are the most common types of nostril studs, traditionally worn in India for nostril piercings.

Titanium Jewelled Nostril Studs - Pink

Titanium Nose Studs come in a fabulous variety of colours and styles. Designed with a professional piercing hook for comfortable wear. They are easy to fit by twisting them into your nostril piercing and stay secure with no chance of falling out.

The nostril stud is fitted by twisting into place. Rotate the nostril stud so that the curled part of the wire pokes through your nostril piercing. Once you get the curl turned through the nostril piercing, rotate the jewellery so that the straight part pops into place inside your nose. The curl should now be hidden on the inside of your nose and should hold the nostril stud in place securely but without digging into your nose too tightly.

Nostril Rings

A small ring or hoop is the healthiest piece of jewellery to wear in a new nostril piercing because they aren’t too tight to the skin surface and they can be rotated, which helps you to clean the entire inner surface of the nostril piercing. A good healing and aftercare routine is essential for a healthy, happy piercing!

Titanium Open Nose Ring

These open nose rings are an innovative new design in nostril jewellery, ideal for swift and easy changing of jewellery, no more losing balls or fiddling with ball closure rings!

Some of the most popular nose rings come in the form of ball closure rings, circular barbells, smooth segment rings or open nose rings.
