Pop star Katy Perry is known for her wild style but she has taken it one step further with her new music video E.T. The video is set for release on March 31st but Katy Perry has revealed her extra terrestrial new look with images on the Katy Perry Facebook page. As you can see she is wearing elaborate pink and white make up with purple lipstick, blue eyeliner and bright turquoise contact lenses. The whole song has an alien abduction theme and from the image, it looks like Katy will be transformed into an alien in the video. The make up is extreme but it is the Katy Perry E.T. contact lenses that really take this look to the next level. They make her look really strange and alien and the colour is just fantastic. In the other images on Katy Perry’s Facebook you can see that she has a bizarre plaited hairstyle with cornrow plaits that fan out like branches of coral or sea anemone. No one knows what her outfit will be like but hopefully it will be as wild and colourful as the make up – and Katy Perry rarely disappoints on the extreme fashion front.
Here at BodyJewelleryShop.com we have hundreds of new coloured contact lenses in the online store, including a great choice from Colour Vision. And for the first time these include mesh contact lenses in lots of different colours. Mesh contact lenses are an innovative design that covers both your pupil and iris but still allows you to see out. Until now they have only been available in red black and white but the new colours will really expand your choice when it comes to high quality coloured contact lenses.
Mesh Coloured Contact Lenses
The Colour Vision range of contact lenses includes eleven different mesh contact lenses: red, black, white, violet, blue, yellow, pink, green, grey, aqua and hazel. All Colour Vision contact lenses are manufactured in the UK according to strict EU health directives and they are excellent quality. The different colours allow you to create a wide range of effects, from scary eyes to cute cartoony colours.
Are Mesh Contact Lenses Safe?
The short answer is yes; mesh contact lenses are safe to wear. Like all coloured contact lenses they only pose a risk if you do not use them correctly. Contact lenses must be kept clean and only used for their life span, which in this case is one year. They must be stored in a clean contact lens case, cleaned with contact lens solution and only handled with clean hands. It is also important not to share your lenses with other people. Mesh contact lenses allow you to see but they are not suitable for driving. They are absolutely fine and safe for short term wear such as going to a party, on a night out or a Halloween costume.
If you like to make a statement you’ll love our cannabis contact lenses! These awesome lenses feature hemp and cannabis leaves and they come in a choice of fantastic designs. There are so many different types of cannabis contact lenses but the ones blow are some of our most popular lenses here at Body Jewellery Shop. Naturally I would not recommend any illegal activities but these contact lenses are a great way to stand out from the crowd without breaking the law!
Classic Cannabis Contact Lenses
The classic design for cannabis contact lenses is a large hemp leaf in the centre of the lens. In the lenses below, the leaf fits around your pupil and actually makes it look like your pupils have changed shape. This gives a really nice effect that looks really dramatic. Changing the shape of your pupil completely alters the look of your eyes and these lenses are sure to get you noticed. The lenses below are from EDIT Contact Lenses, a great brand for high quality but good value contact lenses. They are £15.99 for a pair of lenses and I recommend them for occasions such as fancy dress parties, Halloween and festivals.
Halloween contact lenses are the perfect way to complete your costume but even on Halloween, it is important to keep contact lens safety in mind. Halloween contact lenses are perfectly safe but they must be used and stored correctly, otherwise they could lead to irritation.
Taking care of your Halloween contact lenses is fairly easy – just follow some simple contact lens safety rules and you can eliminate any risk of eye irritation. Lots of people – myself included – will be wearing contact lenses to Halloween parties over the weekend so I am going to give you my contact lens safety guidelines. This post will tell you how to keep your eyes safe, care for your lenses and what to do with them when you get home from your Halloween party.
Contact Lens Safety Guidelines
Fancy a change? If you want to update your look I recommend taking a look at our bright green contact lenses. Green contact lenses are safe to use and they’ll give you a beautiful new eye colour in seconds. Here at BJS we have a great choice of bright green contact lenses including natural-look lenses, subtle tint lenses and freaky Halloween contact lenses.
Green contact lenses are also ideal for Halloween costumes. Many cartoon and movie characters have green eyes and a pair of green contacts will give your costume an extra level of authenticity. You can also use bright green contact lenses for many classic Halloween characters such as witches, cats and werewolves.
Natural Green Contact Lenses
These natural green contact lenses are designed to look as natural as possible. They use multi tonal designs and different shades of green to recreate the natural variations within a real eye. Below are three of my favourite natural looking green contact lenses. The key to making these lenses look convincing is to pick lenses that include a hint of your natural eye colour. For example if you have blue eyes, go for lenses with a hint of blue or grey. If you have brown eyes I recommend green lenses with a hint of hazel or yellow.
Halloween is just a couple of weeks away, so if you’re stuck for a costume I recommend taking at look at our new Twilight contact lenses. Twilight Halloween costumes look great and they are really easy to achieve. Most of the characters wear quite simple ‘normal’ clothing – the key to getting the costumes right is a pair of Twilight contact lenses.
In the world of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight, eyes are an important indicator of whether someone is a vampire and what sort of vampire they are. The ‘good’ vampires have golden topaz eyes, while vampires that drink human blood have bright red eyes. We have two new Twilight contact lenses, one for the good vampires and one for the human-eating vampires.
Bella Twilight Contact Lenses
These Bella Twilight contact lenses are ideal if you are dressing up as a ‘good’ vampire. In Twilight the good vampires drink animal blood so that they can live alongside humans. When the human lead character Bella becomes a vampire in the third Twilight novel, her eyes look just like these contact lenses.
These Twilight contact lenses have a beautiful golden colour with realistic shading and a dramatic black outer ring. They are more detailed than our previous Twilight New Moon Contact Lenses. To dress up as Bella as a vampire, all you will need is these Twilight contact lenses and a little make up. Vampires have pale, shimmery skin – an effect you can achieve with pale foundation and a little shimmer powder. Put in the contact lenses, apply the pale make up and dress in Bella’s trademark jeans with a vest and plaid shirt. Bella has long brown hair, so you may need a wig if you are blonde.
A pair of green contact lenses is a great way to update your look or complete your Halloween costume. There is a great choice of green contact lenses out there, from convincing natural-look green contacts to freaky Halloween designs and UV contact lenses.
Green contact lenses suit most people because they open up the eye area and refresh the look of your eyes. This makes them very flattering, perfect for when you’re the centre of attention. Personally I love green contact lenses. My eyes are green-grey and a pair of bright green contact lenses just makes them so much more intense. It really brightens up my whole face and I wear them for events like parties, costume parties and clubbing. I haven’t actually worn a pair of green Halloween contact lenses but I know they would look great.
Violet contact lenses are a gorgeous choice for any occasion. Violet lenses will completely transform your eyes and they are ideal for updating your look, Halloween costumes and parties. True violet eyes are not found in nature, so wearing violet contact lenses will instantly give you a mysterious and magical look.
Violet contact lenses are also flattering to all skin tones. The colour refreshes your complexion and opens up the eye area, giving you a lovely fresh, wide awake look. They suit most people although I recommend looking for violet contact lenses with a similar intensity to your natural eye colour. For example, if you have light hazel eyes I recommend a soft violet, while a deeper violet colour will look better if your eyes are naturally dark brown.
Complete any outfit with coloured contact lenses. Dramatic, alluring and eye catching, they bring to life any look and are great for Halloween! Once you have chosen your costume and organised your make up, it’s time to browse Body Jewellery Shop’s cutting edge selection of the latest coloured contact lenses.
Changing your eye colour has become very popular, loads of people wear coloured contact lenses; this includes celebrities, cosplayers and even creatures from movies.
You can wear coloured contact lenses to all occasions, from fancy dress to Halloween. We have a mystic range of natural coloured contact lenses for those looking to make a glamorous daytime statement.
At BJS we get lots of emails asking the best way to put in fashion contact lenses. It is actually quite straightforward to put in a pair of contact lenses, but it can seem daunting the first time. In this post I’ll show you my method for inserting fashion contact lenses. This is the method I was shown at my local opticians and is pretty standard, although you may find your own way of doing things after a couple of attempts. If you have never worn fashion contact lenses before I recommend reading a few different methods or if possible asking a friend to show you.
You will need a suitable location to do this in – somewhere well lit with a mirror over a smooth, clean surface e.g. a sink or counter. The reason I mention the surface under the mirror is in case you drop a contact lens. A smooth, clean surface will make it easier to find your lens. If you do drop a lens simply rinse it in plenty of contact lens solution until it looks clean. The first time you put in fashion contact lenses make sure you have plenty of time because it may take you a couple of attempts. Ideally you should be calm and relaxed, which is unlikely if you have to rush out the door in five minutes.
These instructions are for putting a contact lens into your right eye – for your left eye just use the opposite hand.
