Until now UV contact lenses have only been available in plain colours but the new i-Glow range of lenses have a great choice of patterns in UV colours that really glow. Body Jewellery Shop is the first online store to sell these lenses and I love the way the different designs look under UV light. i-Glow UV contact lenses are one of the few ranges of contact lenses manufactured in the UK and they are made under strict EU safeguards to ensure complete quality and safety. They are also 1 year contact lenses, so they are great value for money.

i-Glow UV Contact Lens Designs

There are twenty-three different i-Glow contact lenses including popular crazy lens designs like cat eye contact lenses, checkerboard, biohazard symbols and even a Twilight themed contact lens. Below are three of my favourites but if you’re a fan of clubbing style I really recommend checking out the whole range.

Rave Contact Lens Safety

Contact lenses are completely safe when worn and stored correctly, but if you are wearing rave contact lenses out clubbing or at a festival it’s easy to use them incorrectly. This could lead to an eye infection so it is important to take good care of your eyes and lenses at all times. Here are our rules for wearing rave contact lenses safely:

Do

  1. Store contact lenses in a contact lens case filled with solution
  2. Change the lens solution after each wear
  3. Wash your hands before handling lenses
  4. Discard any damaged contact lenses
  5. Remove lenses immediately if you experience irritation
  6. Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water

Don’t

  1. Share contact lenses with friends
  2. Wear contact lenses for more than 8 hours at a time
  3. Sleep while wearing contact lenses
  4. Avoid getting water in your eyes
  5. Attempt to put a split lens in your eye

Wearing your Glow in the Dark Lenses

Glow in the dark contact lenses are available in a bright spectrum of colours, each one bright and vivid, both day and night. Glow in the dark lenses are designed as a bold colour that covers the entire colour of your iris, so you can cover any eye colour with a bold, opaque shade in the colour of your choice. The glow in the dark lenses will show up vividly in the light, as well as the dark, so you will experience the full effect of your contact lenses at all times.

Fitting your Glow in the Dark Contact Lenses

To fit your glow in the dark lens, you may need some practice. Getting used to the sensation of inserting a contact lens on your eye may be a little strange, but is usually very easy to get used to after a few attempts. If you have never worn contact lenses before, you can still purchase your glow in the dark contact lenses and practice a few times before you plan to use them for an occasion.
